Why modeling? Why now? Is this porn?

I already posted most of this in a reply to a comment but I didn't think it would be very noticeable among all the formspring posts.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think I've shocked a considerable number of my friends by veering down the path of deviant modeling. In my opinion, what I'm embarking on isn't even porn so I wanted to address it openly:

I grew up with plenty of respect for nude modeling. My father had Playboys and I think it's merely a modern/digital representation of the same fine art done by the masters in oils and pastels. If people could simply wrap their brains around the concept that photography and digital arts are simply an evolution then the naked body should not be shocking to anyone.

My personal reason for wanting to do it at this point in my life is because I feel as if I lost a considerable amount of my vibrant youth when I could have been modeling to years in a bad marriage (the first one not the second one) and then wasted years being so obese. I'm not fit for professional modeling but since I feel good doing it, I'm going to. The fact that I have fans and friends who enjoy my product is pure joy to me too.

As far as portraying existing comic book characters that readers feel are too dignified to be naked, I understand and respect the concern. I also have the same concerns. When possible, I will ask a creator if it's ok for me to portray their character in a respectful fashion. Hopefully they'll say yes but if not, there are plenty of others to choose from. Particularly with Wonder Woman - she is a goddess, strong and commanding but her creator clearly had fetish in mind when he developed her style, powers and weaknesses. Since William Marston's son Pete has become a friend of mine and given me his blessing to pursue an erotic look at Wonder Woman, then I feel I'm justified in doing so. I draw the line with all the bondage requests - it's not my thing but you can expect to see me tie up a villain or two with my magic lasso.

Oh, I'm really sorry, I didn't realise my comment could be embarrassing to you. It was general, not especcially related to yourself, and absolutely not against you ! I just wanted to express a general opinion about some things I can see on the net ! I've got too much respect for your person and for your work to lose my good opinion about you ! Anyway, no one should justify to his friends and you will not become a bad daughter, a bad mother, a bad wife, a bad sister, or a bad friend just because you pose half naked ! It's just posing and if it's done in an artistic way, it can be very nice ! And to be honest, I have two or three Playboys in my vault, and I don't know one person who has never gone and seen naked girls on the internet ! So it's not so an infinite crisis ! ;)

An erotic pic is not a porn pic ! Playboy is erotic, and arty, not porn ! The sole problem is the way people, and especcially guys, will look at these pics ! This will make them porn or art, for them ! But what they do with their eyes or their stick lol.... is their own problem, their choice, their intention ! You're old and intelligent enough to be conscious about all that !

As a child or a teen, I had a lot of complex, then I understand your motivations, and I'm sure you'll be intelligent enough to make things with respect for the characters, and for yourself, which is the most important ! To put borders not to go too far. Because your own person and you own feeling with yourself is the most important in all that ! And I sincerely don't want you'll regret after, that's all ! Tha't just a true - internet - friend can tell you :)

Concerning the fetishism in Wonder Woman original creation, I know you're right, it is a fact, and you know what you're talking about ! I don't know the original intention of Mr Marston, I suppose it was either a kind of provocative humor, or/ and a symbolic approach of the feminism, a kind of intelligent joke I would say ! This could be asked to your friend, I've no real idea about that ! My own way of understanding the character is the one Greg Rucka has written in a story like "Hikeiteia" you surely know, but I'm european and latin, so I'm closer with this kind of mythological approach ! But I was told the very first episodes had a big mythological content too, and I think Mr Marston has surely related Diana to the myth of Andromeda, the chained princess ! Whatever, it is a passioning character !

Conclusion, the content of your articles or vids show your respect for comic art, and your artistic interest ! Then don't have any doubt about your beauty; if it's important for you to pose, for yourself, give this gift for yourself ! And I hope you haven't been embarrassed from my comment, they always are friendly anyway :)

I wasn't upset at all, Manu! I was waiting to see who would bring up the subject first and I'm glad it was you because you have a real understanding of the characters. I think your comments have been great additions to the blog here.
